Sue Mountstevens has launched her latest plans for policing in Avon and Somerset for 2015-2017.
The nine local plans introduced last year, one for every local authority area of Avon and Somerset, have been updated to acknowledge how the police are working to make you be safe and feel safe.
This year Sue has made road safety an official priority after local people have told her that this is what matters to them the most. Road Safety sits alongside Sue’s original priorities to tackle burglary, anti-social behaviour, domestic and sexual violence and to put victims first.
You can read the Avon and Somerset Police and Crime Plan which provides more detail about how the Constabulary will deliver the priorities as well as how we will work in partnership and our resources.
Targets in the Police and Crime Plans aim to increase public confidence in Avon and Somerset Police to top ten nationally. As well as increasing detection rates for serious sexual offences, increasing recorded and detected burglary and overall victim satisfaction, all to a top ten position within police forces nationally by 2017.
