John Smith has been Chief Executive of what previoulsy was Avon & Somerset Police Authority since June 2009. Prior to this role John was a partner in a commercial law firm in Bristol specialising in public sector issues and collaborative working.
As Chief Executive his role is to support and advise the Police & Crime Commissioner in delivering the Police & Crime Plan on behalf of the residents of Avon & Somerset.

Mark joined Avon & Somerset Police Authority as Treasurer in May 2010. Mark is a chartered accountant having qualified as an ACA in 1992 with Coopers Deloitte (now 'PWC') where he worked as audit manager before leaving audit to work in the business services and IT industries.
As Chief Finance Officer for the Police & Crime Commissioner the main priorities of his role are: value for money for taxpayers; financial strategy and budgeting; risk management; audit and governance; major projects; Treasury management; financial reporting and the annual statement of accounts.

As Head of Communications her role is to support the Police & Crime Commissioner by liaising with the media, effectively branding and marketing the PCC, interacting with stakeholders via the website and social networking sites and proactively engaging with the communities of Avon & Somerset.
