Criminal Justice Senior Responsible Officer

 

Appointed term: Fixed two year term from January 2018

Salary: £54,431 to £56,670 depending on experience

You are invited to apply for the role of Senior Responsible Officer for the Avon and Somerset Criminal Justice System Transformation Project. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with senior officers across the local criminal justice service to:

  • trial and evaluate solutions for local implementation;
  • develop the model for local service transformation;
  • share learning and escalate those issues that cannot be resolved at a local level through the appropriate national route to influence changes in policy and legislation.

We are looking for a motivated and experienced senior officer to lead and co-ordinate the development and delivery of a multi-agency implementation plan to drive transformation of the local criminal justice service.

More information about the role:

The PCC, in partnership with the A&S Criminal Justice Board, secured Home Office funding from the Police Transformation Fund to conduct a review to transform the local criminal justice service which was carried out by the Behavioural Insights Team.

Partner funding (PCC, the Avon & Somerset Constabulary, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), Her Majesty’s Courts and Tribunal Service (HMCTS) and Her Majesty’s Prison Bristol) has been secured for the appointment of a Senior Responsible Officer to work with key partners at a local and national level to develop and deliver a programme of work to deliver a streamlined and victim focused local criminal justice service.

Commissioning Support Officer

 

Appointed term: 18 months, fixed term contract

Salary: £26,668 - £27,794 depending on experience

The PCC has a responsibility for commissioning support services for victims of crime, allocating grants and services as they wish in order to support the delivery of the Police and Crime Plan. The role of Commissioning Support Officer is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative and ambitious team to support a wide range of commissioning and policy work to improve the outcomes for the residents of Avon & Somerset.

As an integral member of the commissioning team, you will need exceptional policy, commissioning and administration skills. You will need to be flexible, resilient, organised and willing to take on new challenges as they arise.
