Have your say about policing in Bath and North East Somerset

Forum-Banner-Jpeg

PCC Police Public Forum

Residents will have the chance to meet the two top police chiefs in Avon and Somerset on Wednesday November 27 in Bath.

The Public Forum at the Guildhall, between 7-9pm, will give people living and working in Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES) the chance to meet and question Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) Sue Mountstevens and Chief Constable Nick Gargan.

PCC Sue Mountstevens said: "I regularly visit B&NES and I am looking forward to the opportunity of hearing directly from residents on their views on local policing.

“These forums provide the perfect opportunity for me to engage with the local community and find out what they think about how their area is policed. I strongly welcome residents to come along and share their thoughts.”

The session will also include an overview of policing in B&NES by Area Commander Chief Superintendent Geoff Spicer.

If you have any questions you’d like to ask you can also email us in advance at pcc@avonandsomerset.pnn.police.uk We recommend that you do this if you have a question that might need some research - for example, regarding a specific issue in your area.

Chief Constable Nick Gargan said: “I’ve met the officers and police staff working to keep Bath and North East Somerset safe. Now I’m eager to hear what local people think. What’s your view on the service we provide? What do you think our local policing priorities should be?

“Although the forum is being held in Bath, we want to hear the views of people from across Bath and North East Somerset – whether they live in a rural hamlet or new-build estate, urban area or market town. I know not everyone will be able to come along to see us in person, but we’re more than happy to take questions in advance.”

The Public Forum will be held at the Guildhall between 7pm and 9pm on November 27.To make sure a seat is reserved for you please email pcc@avonandsomerset.pnn.police.uk or call 01275 816377
