Share your views on local policing at the next Yeovil PCC Public Forum

Residents of South Somerset, we want your views on local policing!

Avon and Somerset Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) Sue Mountstevens is bringing her next Public Forum to you on Thursday, September 17, 2015 and we want you to come and have your say.

Residents are being invited to the event, taking place at Westlands Leisure Complex, Yeovil BA20 2DD between 7-9pm, and will include an introduction by the PCC, an overview of local policing and a question and answer session.

Communities across South Somerset are being encouraged to attend the event, to not only find out more about policing in their area but to also share their experiences, views and feedback with the PCC and Somerset’s Area Commander.

Police and Crime Commissioner Sue Mountstevens said: “It will be great to be back in Yeovil and I am intrigued to hear from the local people of South Somerset as to what their thoughts are on neighbourhood policing in the area.

“At the last South Somerset forum in Chard, questions were raised around anti-social behaviour, Community SpeedWatch and local police meetings. I hope residents will once again take the time to come along and put their questions to us.”

Area Commander for Somerset, Chief Superintendent (C/Supt) Ian Wylie said: “I’d like to encourage as many local residents as possible to come along, as this is a good opportunity for the public to tell us what matters to you and to help shape policing in your area.

“I’d like to know what you believe we do well and what we can do better for our communities so we can respond accordingly and provide the best service possible, which the public both expect and deserve.”

If you would like to come along to the forum please click here to reserve your seat or alternatively call 01275 816377 or email pcc@avonandsomerset.pnn.police.uk

If you have any questions you’d like to ask you can also email us in advance. We recommend that you do this if you have a question that might need some research. You can also submit your questions via Twitter using #YPCCYV.
