Commissioners Community Action Fund Allocation for Quarter 4

Local communities and voluntary organisations across Avon and Somerset have received over £50,000 as part of Avon and Somerset Police and Crime Commissioner Sue Mountstevens Community Action Fund (CCAF).           

Eighteen projects across Avon and Somerset were allocated funding for Quarter 4.           

The Commissioner’s Community Action Fund of £200,000 was launched in May 2013. This means there is still one more funding period from this financial year’s total.

Compass Project 2012 CIC

Donation towards furniture re-generation service run by ex-offenders and people recovering from addiction.

Home Start Bristol

Project which will support families who have been victims of domestic abuse to settle and integrate into the community.

Krunch UK

20 week pilot project for young people on the verge of social and educational exclusion in Thornbury and the surrounding area with the aim of reducing ASB.

Light Direction Youth

Grant towards the Streetlights Programme in Hillfields, supporting young people to contribute to their community via activities such as litter picking, gardening and helping fellow members of the community.

Newton and Victoria Springboard

Youth project to create a raised bed in Victoria Park, Bridgwater.

Norton Hill Miners

Contribution towards regeneration project in Norton Hill, an area which has suffered with ASB.

Funding for meals at a drop in centre for street sex workers, where vital support is provided to help them build lives away from violence, poverty and addiction.

Project to provide young people with a safe environment to learn urban sports in Bath city centre.

Mediation project which will enable conflicting communities to come together and seek resolution.

Support for Survivors Empowering and Educating Domestic Abuse Services which provides survivors of domestic abuse with the opportunity to engage with agencies and improve services.

South Rural Network 

Streetgames Outreach project which aims to reduce ASB in Weston-super-Mare and the surrounding villages.

St Mungos

Training programme for agencies so that they can provide support to victims of forced marriage and domestic violence.

Tank Theatre Project

Contribution towards the M.C Beth performance project for young people not employed or engaged in mainstream education.

Mentoring project for ex-offenders helping them to re-integrate into their community.

Volunteer training to support male victims of domestic abuse.
