The results for stage one of PCC count have been announced and the results show that no candidate has achieved an outright majority and therefore the two candidates with the highest number of votes cast will go forward to stage two of the count.
Independent candidate Sue Mountstevens and Labour’s Kerry Barker are the two candidates who will now have their second preference votes counted.
The top two candidates received the following votes
Sue Mountstevens received 82,708 votes.
Kerry Barker received 75,538 votes.
The other five candidates received the below following votes:
Conservative Mark Weston received 61,335 votes.
UKIP Aaron Foot received 28,038 votes.
Liberal Democrat Paul Crossley received 23,429 votes
Green Party Chris Briton received 23,414 votes
Independent Kevin Phillips received 22,667 votes
The total number of ballot papers verified is 325,456 and the turn-out is 26.64%.

Bath & North East Somerset Council – 25,907 (turn-out - 19.25%)
Bristol City Council – 140,836 (turn-out - 44.46%)
Mendip District Council – 18,320 (turn-out - 22.15%)
North Somerset Council – 31,982 (turn-out - 20.14%)
Sedgemoor District Council – 16,266 (turn-out - 18.29%)
South Gloucestershire – 41,751 (turn-out - 20.14%)
South Somerset District Council – 27,994 (turn-out - 22.60%)
Taunton Deane Borough Council – 16,913 (turn-out - 20.65%)
West Somerset District Council – 5,487 (turn-out - 20.43%)
