PCC Election microsite now live!

PCC Election

With five months to go until the PCC election 2020, the Avon and Somerset Police and Crime Commissioner Election microsite is now live.

The site aims to provide a range of information for prospective candidates and local people including information about the role of the PCC, the elections, relevant links, FOIs and a series of briefings on subjects including policing, finance, commissioning and partnerships.

The elections will happen in the Avon and Somerset Police area and the other 40 police force areas in England and Wales on Thursday 7 May 2020. The count for this election will take place on 8 May 2020 and each area will elect one Police and Crime Commissioner who will serve four years in office.

The Police Area Returning Officer (PARO) is responsible for the preparation and coordination for the election and will announce the result of the count.
