Service Delivery Assurance

The PCC is responsible for holding the police to account on behalf of local people and ensuring an efficient and effective police service.

The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) conducted the first series of assurance panels to explore the quality of police service delivery in 2015. The process sought to promote public trust and confidence in policing through transparency and constructive challenge.

The OPCC has continued to develop its approach to assurance and reports of assurance programmes carried out in the PCC’s second term are published below.  Recommendations are discussed with the Constabulary and agreed actions are tracked through to completion.
