Commissioner's Community Action Fund Year 5 Allocation for Quarter 1

Local communities and voluntary organisations across Avon and Somerset have received over £41,000 as part of Avon and Somerset Police and Crime Commissioner Sue Mountstevens Community Action Fund (CCAF).

Fourteen projects across Avon and Somerset were allocated funding for Quarter 1 of the fifth year of the fund.

The Commissioner's Community Action Fund of £150,000 continues to enable communities to apply for grants of up to £3,000.

Grant used to purchase much needed equipment for recreation ground in the effort to engage young people and reduce crime

 Grant used to continue funding of Youth Club to assist with reducing anti-social behaviour

SOS Global

Funding towards one year's youth programme to highlight the dangers of knife crime, gangs and ASB in areas of high deprivation

The Friends of Ham Hill

Funds used to to install a CCTV system to cover car parks and private roads to help reduce anti-social behaviour

Creative Youth Network

Grant used to expand youth club evenings providing one-to-one support and youth led events to help reduce ASB

Abbotswood Action Group

Funding used towards the cost of the 'Spring Clean Up' in efforts to maintain the environment in South Glos and Abbotswood

South Gloucestershire  £2,480

Bath Street Pastors

Grant used to fund 3 Street Pastors who patrol the streets of Bath on the weekends with the Police and ambulance team to help people in need

Aspiration Creation Elevation

Grant used to fund 'More Than Music' programme to give young people in St Pauls a chance to develop their music skills

Hartcliffe and Withywood Community Partnership

Grant used to fund a series a training events to give people the skills and confidence to deal with ASB where and when they encounter it

Grant used to fund four week programme for sporting activities and youth work to encourage more positive community relationships

Grant used to fund a breakfast club 2x a week to better engage with young people to safeguard from conerns over domestic abuse and other issues

Bath Youth for Christ

Grant used to fund a breakfast club 2x a week to better engage with young people to safeguard from conerns over domestic abuse and other issues

North Somerset LGBT Forum 

Funding for outreach work with BME and LGBT communities to sign post individuals who are experiencing abuse and reduce hate crime

Access Sport CIO

Grant used to fund a community outreach group to run the BMX track & club at Avonmouth to engage young people, reduce ASB and strengthen the community
