PRCA DARE Award Winners

Together with the creative communications agency Purplefish, the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) Communications and Engagement team are delighted to have won the 2023 PRCA DARE Public Sector Award.

This award was given in recognition of the recent OPCC volunteer recruitment campaign.

Launched earlier this year, the highly successful campaign raised awareness of the PCC’s scrutiny volunteer panels and, through recruitment, improved the diversity of the panels. In total, 19 new volunteers joined the three independent scrutiny panels and Independent Custody Visitor scheme.

In addition, we would also like to congratulation the Avon and Somerset Police Communications Department for winning the 2023 PRCA DARE Employee Engagement Award.

The PRCA DARE Awards seek out and reward the very best PR and communications campaigns across the UK, decided by a panel of highly respected industry experts across eight regions.

The PRCA DARE South West Awards are open to all parties involved in the use of PR for communications purposes across the UK including PR consultancies, in-house communications teams, digital agencies, marketing teams, and media owners.
