The Southmead Project

The Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) helps fund the Southmead Project to provide a counselling service for people who experience trauma because of emotional, physical or sexual abuse.

The Southmead Project provides:

  • One-to-one counselling for survivors of abuse
  • Group counselling sessions
  • Support groups
  • Arts therapy
  • Community activities to help build survivor’s confidence and for them to socialise with others who have a shared lived experience.

The service offers support with current and historical crime. 

Who can use the service?

The service is available to those living in:

  • Bath and North East Somerset
  • Bristol
  • North Somerset
  • Somerset
  • South Gloucestershire

Available to both those who report to the police and those who do not.
