PCC Police Public Forum - Yate, South Gloucestershire, 3rd December
Want to have your say about local policing in South Gloucestershire?
Residents will have the chance to put their questions to Police and Crime Commissioner Sue Mountstevens and Area Commander Chief Superintendent Caroline Peters at a public meeting on Wednesday, December 3, 2014.
The forum, which is due to take place at The Shire Way Community Centre in Yate will give people living and working in South Gloucestershire the chance to share their views on local policing and raise any questions they might have.
Avon and Somerset Police and Crime Commissioner Sue Mountstevens said: "This will be the second time we have hosted a public forum in South Gloucestershire. I hope that people will once again take the time to come and share their views on local policing.
"At the last South Gloucestershire forum local Neighbourhood Watch Schemes and residents perceptions of crime were hot topics. I am interested to see what areas of community policing will be raised for us to discuss this time."
Following a welcome by the Commissioner and an overview of policing in South Gloucestershire, attendees will have the opportunity to take part in a question and answer session.
If you have any questions you would like to ask you can also email us in advance at firstname.lastname@example.org .We recommend that you do this if you have a question that might need some research (ie: regarding a specific issue in your area).
Area Commander for the North East, Chief Superintendent Caroline Peters said: "I’m thrilled to have taken up the new position of Area Commander for the North East and I’m grateful for the chance to meet people who we serve. One of my priorities will be to ensure that all our communities receive the best possible service from our police officers and staff. We’ve seen some changes in our organisation, but I’d like to assure everyone that policing across the area will continue as usual and our communities should have every confidence that we’ll continue to do all we can to keep them safe."
The Public Forum will be held at The Shire Way Community Centre in Yate between 7pm and 9pm on Wednesday December 3, 2014.
