Seren Hughes' winning Christmas card

School children from Trinity Primary School, Portishead designed the winning illustration for Avon and Somerset Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) Sue Mountstevens’ annual Christmas card.

Entries were submitted to the PCC’s Office from Trinity Primary and the whole team including Sue Mountstevens chose the winning design by Seren Hughes, aged 8 in Year 4.

The chosen illustrarion of an angel sending ‘Good will to all’ has been animated for an electronic version that will be sent out by the PCC’s Office.

PCC Sue Mountstevens said: “I was incredibly impressed by the entries we received.  Amongst the designs we had doves, police cars and jingle bells.  I’d like to thank all the children from Trinity Primary School for sending me their drawings.  I think that each and every one was extremely creative and festive.

“Seren’s entry of ‘Good will to all’ was very poignant, following a turbulent year in the UK and around the world I think its vital reminder to think of others. It’s a message I’m proud to spread to the communities of Avon and Somerset on Seren’s behalf.

“There will be many people working hard to keep us and our local communities safe throughout the winter.  On behalf of the local communities across Avon and Somerset we’re incredibly grateful for the sacrifices they make for us.”

The cards will be emailed to residents across Avon and Somerset accompanied by PCC Sue Mountstevens’ warmest wishes for a happy and peaceful festive season.  The winning artist has been informed and has been awarded a small gift for their hard work.
