Joint Audit Committee

Members of the Joint Audit Committee provide independent oversight and advice on governance, financial reporting and risk management.

The Joint Audit Committee has a statutory duty in holding the police force to account in managing risk and in reviewing annual accounts. The work undertaken by the Joint Audit Committee may include reviewing recruitment and retention strategies, assessing information relating to public confidence and engagement, scrutinising and ensuring good governance and effective delivery of the Police and Crime Plan and the financial resilience of the organisation including considering workforce strategies, management practice and financial reporting processes.
