16 Days of Activism

16 Days of activism is an international campaign, that starts on the 25th of November, the International Day for Violence against Women and Girls and runs until 10th of December, Human Rights Day.

This year, the campaign is “Unite! Invest to prevent violence against women and girls”. The campaign calls on citizens and governments to spotlight their commitment to ending violence against women and girls by sharing actions they are taking to create a world free from violence towards women.

Gender based violence affects 1 in 3 women worldwide.

The OPCC funds and supports many specialist services that focus on ending violence against women and girls and supporting those impacted by it.

Throughout the campaign, we will be sharing information about some of these services, please check out the news section here for more details on the amazing services the OPCC supports.
