Make a FOI request

Under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), you have the right to ask to see recorded information help by public authorities. You can request this information by submitting a Freedom of Information (FOI) request.

Before submitting an FOI request, view all previous Freedom of Information requests as the information you are looking for may already be available.

• Regarding the OPCC: use our Freedom of Information request form.
• Regarding policing: make a Freedom of Information request to Avon and Somerset Police.

Your rights to your personal data

You have rights under the General Data Protection Regulations regarding your personal information, including your right of access to see what data we hold. 

You also have the right to update your information, including to correct, erase, restrict processing, right to data portability and a right to object.
