Victim Code of Practice

The Victim Code of Practice outlines the service you can expect from criminal justice agencies if you are the victim of a crime.

The Code of Practice is part of the government’s strategy to ensure the Criminal Justice System (CJS) always puts victims first.

It also summarises the types of support victims of crime should expect to receive from the police, prison services and victim support agencies.
