School children select PCC Sue Mountstevens Seasons Greetings

PCC Sue Mountstevens with Daria Domagala, 10 and Lainey Bartley, 4 (L-R)

Warmest wishes for a happy and peaceful festive season is the message that Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) Sue Mountstevens is sending residents across Avon and Somerset this winter.

Sue Mountstevens shared this message via an electronic card unveiling two winning designs she selected as part of a Christmas Card Competition, when visiting the Bridge Learning Campus, Hartcliffe in Bristol.

A snowman card designed by Lainey Bartley, aged four-years old and a Santa’s sleigh and a police car card created by Daria Domagala, aged 10, were hand-picked by the Commissioner as the winning drawings amongst numerous entries.

Avon and Somerset Police and Crime Commissioner Sue Mountstevens said: “The creative, humorous and artistic nature of all the entries not only made me smile but also made me extremely festive and it was really difficult to choose a winning design.

“During the holidays my thoughts are always with families, relatives and friends.  As always there will be people working hard, night and day to ensure our safety and protection and my thoughts will be with them and the sacrifices they make for others.”

The competition was open to Phases 1-4 of the Bridge Learning Campus in Hartcliffe and the artists behind the winning designs were awarded with a small gift for their hard work.

Both winning card designs have been animated and are being emailed to residents across Avon and Somerset.
