Avon & Somerset Police & Crime Commissioner Sue Mountstevens said: “I am delighted that the Constabulary has started to recruit new police officers. I want residents to be safe and feel safe and having frontline officers out on the beat within our local communities is just part of that.

“Policing is a rewarding and challenging job and it is vital that the service reflects the communities it serves. Avon and Somerset Constabulary is encouraging people from all backgrounds to consider applying for this exciting opportunity.”

Avon and Somerset Constabulary are looking to recruit up to 35 new police officers.

Recruitment opens with an online assessment at 10am on Monday 25 February and closes at 4pm on Friday 1 March.

The Constabulary will not be capping the number of candidates who can complete the online assessment during this time.
