PCCs and Chief Constables meet to discuss regional collaboration


Police and Crime Commissioners and Chief Constables altogether in Dorset

Police and CrimeCommissioners and Chief Constables for the South-west met for the first time todiscuss ways of co-operating across the region on Wednesday, March 6.

Sue Mountstevensand Chief Constable Nick Gargan joined the regions Police and CrimeCommissioners and newly appointed Chief Constables at Dorset Police Headquartersin Winfrith.

Sue Mountstevenssaid: “This meeting builds on the first ever South-west regional PCC meeting heldin Taunton in December. Now we have all appointed Chief Constables we canreally start to firm up the plans for collaborative working across the region.We are all looking for ways to work efficiently and effectively and achievevalue for money. 

"I see every day the progress we are making at the firearms training range in Portishead, which is a great regional achievement, that is already underway and I know as PCCs we can find even more ways to achieve more for less."
