Yesterday residents across Avon and Somerset went to the polls to vote for the seven candidates standing to be Avon and Somerset’s next Police & Crime Commissioner (PCC).
A Police and Crime Commissioner is elected by residents every four-years to oversee Avon and Somerset Police and ensure the criminal justice system is efficient and effective. They are responsible for setting the priorities for the police in consultation with you and decide how your policing part of the council tax is spent.
