PA to Chief of Staff, Chief Finance Officer and Deputy Police & Crime Commissioner
Permanent. Full-time. £24,576 – £30,420, depending on experience. Combination of office and working from home.
We are looking to recruit an experienced Personal Assistant to join an innovative and ambitious team to support the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) in holding the force to account in their provision of an effective and efficient police service.
The PCC has wide ranging responsibilities for setting the priorities and budget of the Constabulary, holding the Chief Constable to account for delivery of the Police and Crime Plan. The PCC also has wider responsibilities across criminal justice and community safety and commissions a wide range of services for both victims and offenders in order to support delivery of the Plan.
The role will work at the heart of the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC), providing essential support to the Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner, Chief of Staff and Chief Finance Officer, to support them to fulfil their statutory duties and achieve strategic objectives.
Main responsibilities
- To effectively manage diaries, liaising with a wide range of stakeholders to support and maintain effective relationships.
- Prioritise the DPCC’s time effectively to support the strategic objectives of the PCC, with the support of the Secretariat Manager.
- Arrange the DPCC’s programme of meetings and visits with local and community organisations, working with Communications and Engagement colleagues.
- Work flexibly to provide support as needed to the three principals, to support the PCC’s important role in police leadership and accountability.

The OPCC have a hybrid working approach which incorporates blended office and home working.
