Taunton’s new police station in Deane House was officially opened on Tuesday 12 March by Police and Crime Commissioner Sue Mountstevens, Cllr John Williams and Chief Inspector Lisa Simpson.
An increase in the policing part of the council tax means 100 new officers can be recruited to focus specifically on burglary, drugs and violent crime.
