Residents of Bath will be able to have their say on local policing when Avon and Somerset Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) Sue Mountstevens and Chief Constable Andy Marsh host their next forum in the area on September 28, 2017.
Those living and working across Bath and North East Somerset are invited to attend the meeting, being held in the Council Chamber of the Guildhall, to put their questions to the PCC, Chief Constable and members of the local neighbourhood policing team.
PCC Sue Mountstevens said: “The previous forum I held at the Guildhall was one of the most well attended to date and we’ve hosted forums all over the Avon and Somerset police force area. Some really interesting topics were covered, with the majority of the discussion focusing on road safety including cycling in the city, speeding and illegal parking.
“I’m looking forward to returning to the Guildhall and keen to see what questions residents have for me. I’m also interested to hear local people’s views and ideas specifically on the enquiry office based at the One Stop Shop on Manvers Street, after receiving feedback from some residents they felt the police had left the city since re-locating.”
Chief Constable Andy Marsh said: “I’m looking forward to hearing from residents who live across Bath and North East Somerset on how they can help shape policing in the area. Events like this are a great opportunity to hear first-hand about how local people feel about their police service and their neighbourhood policing teams.
“The forums also provide the chance to talk face-to-face about some of challenges we’re experiencing in policing and how our local communities can help us. I want to hear what local people think about the service we provide, what we do well and what we could be better, to ensure our communities are safe and feel safe.”
The forum will be will be held in the Council Chamber at The Guildhall, Bath, BA1 5AW between 6.45pm and 9pm. To make sure that a seat is reserved for you please register here: www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/police-public-forum-bath-tickets-37028425016?aff=es2
